I think you're onto something right there minus the AK. Kinda like the Savage FVSS, if I remember correctly, with a nice and easy 6x42 scope.

Yep, I have all the listed plus more already mentioned.
I wanted a bolt action to go witth my FAL that used the same ammo to keep the calibers I needed as small as possible. The 308 will reah out and touch someone fairly well, and the Savage is one of the most acurate out of the box rifles out there.

Unless you are 'loaded' ($$$), I'd spend lots of cash on tons of ammo for the entire collection prior to additional weapons...OMO
