Worst recoil you have experienced?
I am sure others have been through far worse
than me but.. my two are..
1. Shooting a single shot shotgun with no recoil pad
in a t-shirt. Shotgun was so light it kicked like a mule.
2. Taurus ultra light snubbie with .357 loads after 6
shots I tore some skin off my thumb.
It's been way too long to remember the model, but it was my Crossman Air Rifle BB gun, for a 7 year old...that thing was a BEAST! Bip...Ting! Many a pigeon bought the farm from that weapon of mass destruction!
I've got two .50 BMG rifles, a .300 Mag and lots of other hard kickers.
But nothing hurts me more than the .444
Marlin Lever action.
Hot loads in a Taurus lite...637...it even turned heads at the range.:blink:
I also remember (not the make) a 10 ga. shot gun my cousin once had to shoot crows...that was a kicker!:gah:
3 1/2 " 12 gauge out of a turkey choke, Rem 870. Yep...those pound. Don't mind my 642 too much though.
12 gauge slug out of an Ithaca featherweight. Shot 20 rounds, and had to use BOTH shoulders.
Pride of Spain sawed off SXS 12 Ga with no recoil pad.
I shot a friend's military surplus rifle, I think it was Russian, off the bench about five years ago. The round wasn't that big, no more powerful than a .308, but with no recoil pad and the way that stock was shaped it hit like a Mac truck! I was amazed.
The worst I've felt in a handgun was a S&W .500 Mag, hands down. The load was a 350 gr. bullet along at over 1600 fps. I let the gun rise up without trying to slow it down, it ended up straight over my head every time. It definitely kicks but it can be managed if you don't try to fight it.

It's a tie between a NEF single shot 12 guage with a slug, and an ancient .45-70 that a co-worker has. I only shot it just say "I did it"
don't know what glock it is as i'm not a glock devotee but it was the glock sub compact in .40 cal...sob kicked like crazy even i won't shoot it anymore. strange too recoil usually doesn't bother me much. i liked shooting the 45 +p cop ammo out of my p345. .357 mag out of a snub nose security six doesn't bother me either
1) An ND I had with a 12 gauge shooting magnum load, no recoil pad and the stock was about an inch from my shoulder.
2) S&W 500... 3 shots in a row playing macho... ouchie ouchie
.45-70 hunting round out of a converted 8mm mauser. I had shot a few light loads, then came the hot hollow-point, and I had forgotten I sneaked it in the magazine. Ouch!
