Lord, Grant me a good sword and no need to use it.
Browning BL22: lever action, fine sights, light, good balance
Yoda, I am, yes.
I have a 597 and a 10/22
The 597 is more accurate out the box, and the stock fits an adult.
The 10/22 is like a Harley, it is never done and take a ton of tweaking to get it close.
I shoot the 597 pretty much exclusively. Don't spend the money for a heavy barrel, the sporter is just as accurate for a lot less money. That is unless you just want a heavy barrel.
Recently purchased a Ruger Charger. 10/22 pistol with bipod and exotic pistol stock. Mounted a Bushnell Holographic sight on the thing. At 25 yards on swingers it's impressive. Possibly the most fun I've ever had with my pants on.
Winchester 190. Bushnell RF 4X
Marlin 60, Nikon ProStaff RF 4X
Henry 1000Y, Bushnell Trophy Red Dot
Ruger 10/22 SS. Bushnell RF 4X
Savage MKII FV, Nikon ProStaff 3-9X
Mossberg 702, Bushnell RF 4X
Crickett, Cricket 4X ( Grandkids' gun and pest gun with shotshells and CB Longs)
Notice, pretty fair glass on all of them. .22 is too accurate to not spend good money on sights!
Yup, visit Walmart a lot, shoot lots of Federal 550 WB. Yup, life is sweet!

I’ve only got 2, one is a Cody WY, Ballard made reproduction of a Winchester Low-Wall special sporting with a 30” Douglas air- gauged barrel, double set triggers, presentation grade hand checkered stock with MVA schuetzen soule rear sight.
My other .22 is a Ruger 77/22 with a 3x9 Leopold

If you want some .22 lever action, look at the Henry rifles....22LR or .22 Mag...

22's are so much fun. A bit of trivia I heard, Larry Potterfield of MidwayUSA loves collecting 22 rifles.
I've owned a 10/22, but could never warm up to it. My wife still has one. I currently have a T/C G2 Contender with a custom shop barrel in .22lr. A really nice single shot 22.
One day I hope to pick up a Browning semi-auto 22 rifle. Wow, you can never have too many 22's.
I went and bought the first bolt action 22 I could find that the gun clerk could recommend. I asked about a used one on the shelf, and he said "I've seen you shoot, you aren't gonna be happy with the accuracy". He gave me a Marlin 925. Looks nice, threw a scope on top, shoots MOA with cheap 22 short and LR. And it was dirt cheap NIB. Good luck
ME TOO!
I now have a
Marlin 75
Romanian M69
CZ 452 Lux
Okay, only three, but three revolvers too.
Im also in the market for a semi-auto 22.lr rifle right now. Looking for suggestions. I see alot for the 10/22 on here. Anything else lol?
"Anyone worth shooting, is probably worth shooting several times."
Any of you .22 heads buy a Ruger Charger .22 yet? If so, how's it shoot?
Just bought a GSG-5 with the 'faux' suppressor. 10/22 would've been cheaper, but the GSG looks so darn cool:)

I've got a .22 Charger!!!
I threw on a cheap BSA Red Dot scope on it and I was at a buddies house with his own range and we were plinking at a 2" spinner target at 72 yards and could hit it everytime with it.
Lot's of fun.
I was in my buddies shop this week twice and he has a Remington 597 in there. He had a price of $200 on it and I told him WM has the same gun new for $177. So he checked his books and I am picking it up next week for $75 out the door.
Its got the Camo finish on it and is in decent shape. Probably need to pick up a few new mags and give it a good cleaning.
So Ive got:
1) 70's Western Auto Revelation (which is a Marlin 60)
2) Marlin 60
3) 1940's Sears and Roebuck single shot (killer gun actually)
4) Remington 597
The 10/22 is next on the list.
