Stole two guns out of my car...Raleigh NC
I live about 45 minutes from the local gun range and since I was going to be going that way I decided to get in 18 holes at RGA on my way home. Long story short after my 18 holes I returned to my car to find my guns stolen out of my trunk, I called the cops who came out and while he was taking his report two other guys walked over and said they had there cars broken into. We decided to make sure we alerted the golf course which responded that there has been brake-ins for the last four months and they didn't know what to do about it but didn't want to have security outside because it my deter some customers.
So I lost two Glocks yesterday a G22 and G23

Wow, what a bummer, but why in the world didn't they give you heads up that there had been break ins there. That is so irresponsible on their part.

Sorry to hear. I fear this myself so if I have to leave my gun in my truck it is hidden so well it will not be found by some routine snatch & grab thugs. I supposed a car safe would be the best option.

Man that is the pits. Hate it for you. That is one of my biggest fears. My truck got broken into at a Wal-Mart in a packed parking lot in the middle of the day. I lost about $600 worth of gear/ Luckily there were no guns in the truck. Since then I have been afraid to leave a gun in my truck.
I think I'd take issue with that course for not alerting their customers. They say they didn't know what to do about? How about a security camera focusing over on the parking area? C'mon!!

You can't carry em in your golf bag or field strip them and take the slide assembly so it lessens the chance of somebody getting the whole gun

That sucks-I hate criminals!
Expecting a carjacker or rapist or drug pusher to care that his possession or use of a gun is unlawful is like expecting a terrorist to care that his car bomb is taking up two parking spaces.-Joseph T. Chew

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation...that's enough to ruin more than a day.
Got insurance?
If you are member of the NRA you do, if not you should join. May not cover the entire loss but some is better than none.

Ditto, exactly.
It doesn't even matter if your car is old and looks like hell or if it has 5 different alarms.
Sorry for your loss Glock.
Next time though on body carry or go home first to stow your gear then turn around and go back outside to play. :|
Two more handguns added to the street criminals inventory which will likely remain in circulation for 30 or 40 years as such.

OK if this is a regular event....
Look at the homes that are around the PL it is someone close by....
go on line and do a check your state may have a ex criminal data base that tells you where they are now....
Or it is someone that works at the range (number one on my list)....
Did the range so a criminal background check on their employee's????
If you want your guns back do this stuff N I bet you will find out who and that will lead you to where....
Don't rely on the police to do this they are often too busy to care!!!

Doesn't seem right that the business knew they had a problem and didn't do anything about it nor warn the customers about it just because they didn't want to harm their own business... So whats the results now of that action?

Might be on to something here,I would get some good binoculars and sit in a place I could scan the whole parking lot,If you see somebody burglarising cars call the cops and get in a position to follow and get a tag number on getaway car in case the cops don't get there in time

I really appreciate all of your responses. I knew I wouldn't be berated or belittled but instead be able to collectively share experiences and thoughts... I LOVE YOU GUYS... OK no more hugging.
Between, FBI, ATF and local PD i have about 8 hours of time invested today, I stopped by two or three pawn shops close by and also walked through a nearby wooded area in case they ditched my range bag. So far nothing.

Oh man, that ain't good. You know in what part of town your guns might be by now, right???
I have a safe in my car, but I hardly ever use it. I don't take any chances with my guns, if I can help it. Sorry to hear that. Hope that RPD finds them soon.
