my first NRA class yesterday. (You thought I was gonna say "I taw a puddy tat", didn't ya?)LOL
Anyway, the gods were with me and it was a beautiful day. Had 5 students....one no-show. They all claim to have learned a lot, which was fairly easy since 4 of them had never even held a firearm before.
All passed the "Basics of Pistol Shooting" practical exercise and seemed proud of themselves. I was proud of them too. Hope that they come back and shoot for fun.
Those are water pistols I issued for training purposes.
The guy in the back left looks like he's having a lot of fun.
I honestly believe if everybody was taught proper firearms training at an early age the huge misconception about guns being bad and the thought process that guns in the hands of good people stop crime would change. The fact that senior citisens who never felt the need to carry a gun before shows that people are realising cops can't save you
That's great! They seem like a great bunch of students. Congratulations!! :congrats:
Making the streets of VA safer...one person at a time!:congrats:
Good for you! There are a whole lot of new firearns owners who need that first step in safe ownership and operation of their new firearms.
Well at least one guy understood the safety lesson.
The new militia. :biggrin2:
Hey seriously though glad to see folks learning the proper basics.
Good thing because their muzzle management sucks. (They're all pointing their guns at you, except one).

Okay, you did say that. I hope you stressed muzzle management. It was drilled into me during my course.
Can't be sure...but the person left front in the red shirt looks like she is crossing her thumb.....
Congrats on your first class!
Yep...I blew the pic up...the thumbs are crossed.
Gotta fix that real quick, or fix the knuckle.
Had a girl come in last week with a compact Glock in .45.
Never shot a pistol before and EVERYTIME she picked it up she crossed 'em.
Had to watch her like a hawk. She finally caught on.
Not only that but more than one of them has their finger on the trigger.

I presume the pillows are for nap time?
So I guess by now you have consoled yourself that the class was not filled with bored supermodels and influential business executives?
