When searching for 9mm ammo...
I was speaking with a guy buying up a 7 box stock of rifle ammo. He told me that the reason for the 9mm shortage is bc the gov't went to the ammo factories and snag up all the melted down brass, whats up with that?
He also said that we all almost lost our right to bare arms in a 5 to 4 vote in the Supreme Court, is there any truth to this claim?

Don't believe everything you read or hear on the streets.
The guy buying up the multiple boxes of ammo is the reason for the ammo shortage.
The last vote the Supreme Court ruled on regarding firearms is the Heller case I believe. You might do a search and read what that case was about. It certainly could not be considered anti gun IMO.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

It was something an hour long convo about what's going on with our rights and that the gov't was behind the shortage. He said when people heard that the gov't was taking back a bunch of the brass they gave out, and it spurred a buying spree on ammo and put the makers something like 3 months and 3 million bullets behind schedule.

Sorry, the guy you talked to had no idea what he was talking about. The government didn't take back or attempt to take back any brass. It was sold not given away through the Defense Department so no longer belonged to the government. There had been a reclassification on ammo brass but it has since been reclassified again, backto original classification.

Plenty of 9mm at my Gander Mountain. It's just pricey. $79.95 for 250 UMC.

Plenty of 9mm on Gunbroker. I just sold over 2000 rounds at $30 per 100 rounds shipping included.
