Keep in mind minimum wage here is $18 dollars an hour.
And they are taxed how much?

Remind me not to complain about paying what I pay for any weapon anymore.
I know not what this "overkill" means.
Honing the knives, Cleaning the longguns, Stocking up ammo.

With burger flippers making $18/hr, those prices really don't sound too bad to me.
Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.

Don't get me started on free health care, as the Obamessiah wants to socialize medicine here.
The amount paid per gun is about equal to what we pay, in comparasion. I'd hate to think how much I'd be making in your country, as it would sound good, but I highly doubt my standard of living would increase.
I just bought gas last night for the truck. It was $2.18 for 91 Octane Unleaded. That's too high in my book, and I make over $30 per hour.

Free health care!!! My wife is from Tirana, Albania. Her Dad needed dialysis for his kidneys. Since he was over 55 they would not give it to him. The doctor expects a tip of $25.00 everytime they come in the room. The nurses expect $5.00 everytime they come in the room. They let him go into a coma then sent him home to die that took at least 12 hours. Her Mom had to take a cab home (everyone walks or takes the bus for the most part) and the cab driver wouldn't help her take him inside unless she tipped. That's what free health care gets you.

I moved to Panama. You cannot buy US made guns here, no Colt, S7W, Ruger. Mostly Brasilian or turkish imports. Only decent quality is Glock, for $1,300. I saw a beat-up used Lorcin 380 go for $500
