    Another vote for Freedom Arms.

If one must have it double action, then the Ruger SRH.

The Freedom Arms revolvers are amazing (and I don't own revolvers).

Super Redhawk with the 7 1/2 inch barrel. The short barrel waste a bunch of power being a flamethower.

I saw the figures on velocity loss with the Alaskan barrel a while back and that convinced me to go with the 7-1/2 inch barrel. Very happy with my Super Redhawk other than the weak rear sight leaf design which was replaced with a set of Meprolight night sights.

I bought a Ruger SRH a few years back thinking it was going to be a fun gun to shoot, and it was; three times. I shot it a total of 10. It is a great gun for big game hunting. Coincidentally, I have a setup ready to go hunting posted on the Members Buy, Sell & Trade section.

The 454 SRH are absolute pussycats when loaded down to 45Colt. A little heavy but light recoil.

I have shot a Ruger and a Taurus. Neither was fun to shoot but the Taurus was way easier on my hand and wrist. The Ruger design was a killer if you ask me.
