I like the look of SS better on wheel guns.

    Both look good to me.

When possible, just get one of each.

I like SS but if it was something I wanted then I would get it if it was blued.

I'm with you Erik and gravitate to the blued guns. Only have a single lonely stainless revolver.

    OK I'll Play

I think that Stainless Steel is some of the best stuff ever for firearms.

    WHY?

Because any changes or modifications to a firearm can be accomplished without paying an additional re bluing charge.
Any scratches or gouges can be easily repaired at home.
You can "melt" a firearm yourself (AKA radius all sharp edges) as a "home project" without having to resort to inferior "cold blue" touch-up or sending the gun in for refinish.

Plus I've never seen a S&W or a Ruger Stainless handgun rust even after being totally wet in a torrential downpour while camping.

In fact I've never seen a Stainless firearm rust from being soaked in sweat or from spending an extended period of time in leather.

I should probably add that if I happened upon a really sweet deal on a blued gun - I would not pass on it simply because it was blue. BUT, if possible all of my newly purchased firearm will be Stainless as a first preference.

SS or Nickle Snubbies always look bigger when they're pulled.....from the BG's perspective.

Blued..... not as easily seen at night, or any other time.

Stainless steel and not because of the looks, because it's more resistant to corrosion... my 239 has a blackened stainless steel slide and my ruger single six and Smith and Wesson 640 is brushed stainless steel.
