Hey im going this weekend to get my g26 and have been looking at some options for a +1 mag. I know alot of people are using the pearce extensions but glock makes a 12 rd mag and i was wondering if anyone had used this one and if it was comparable to the pearce. thx:king:

Many people dislike the extensions for reasons of reliability. My wife has the Pierce finger extensions (that do not add any capacity) on her 26 and has never had any reliabilty issues. The Glock version is commonly called a "Plus 2" floorplate. I personally wouldn't use one that didn't have a detent to hold the base on, or one that used a stock magazine spring. I prefer the positive locking and the extended spring for reliability.
I went with the Pearce PG26XL extensions on my G27. I needed the little extra room for my big mits. I also don't see the need in extra rounds for the 26 or 27. That is what spare mags are for

thanks, i still like the ability to at +1 with an extension but it seems its smarter to just add the pinkie extension with out the extra round or two.
I have no regrets about adding the Pearce magazine extensions on my G26 magazines. It gives me a little better grip. Otherwise my pinkie is just hanging there. If they work for you, go for it!
Nothing wrong with the Pearce +1 mag extensions. I used them for years on my G27 and no issues. Thing is........it will make the forward part of the grip just as long as a G19 or G23. If you don't have issues concealing the compact Glocks, then you'd be good to go with the +1 finger groove extension. I went back to the standard base plates on my G27 mags and gave my +1 extensions away.
what about the factory extensions?
I added the extension for a finger not any more rounds...that's all that is needed IMO. If you need more ammo, change mags and call 911 for the SWAT team, because you're probably in deep 'kimchee'.:yup:
