I'm not aware of this. It is not prohibited in VA state law.

Can someone cite the Fed law?

Federal Law does not restrict carry at polling places. It is the State law level that determines this.
I am consistently on record and will continue to be on record as opposing concealed carry.

You may be right. I've been looking and can find no reference to it on a federal level, although some of the states have it in their concealed hangun laws.
    Arkansas does not allow it.

I remember being told that Cops cant be within a certain distance while armed and on duty and that is what I remembered, not so much CHL holders but Police. That may be state law too.

Since many Va polling places are schools, I would think that that rule would apply.

I also understand it to be state specific.

Polling places are specifically forbidden by statute in FL, if there was a federal prohibition, it seems to me that the state statutes likely would not have mentioned it, but would have allowed it to stand under the "any places prohibited by federal law" paragraph.

It's not allowed in AZ under state law either. The sticky part for me is that we allow the county to use the church for a polling place and I carry at work...on that day it gets a little weird. I basically can't come near half of our property! :)

The rule that would apply in that situation (polling place in a school), would be the one forbidding carry in K-12 schools....There is NO prohibition if it is in other venues....My polling place is a recreation center that USED to be a school.

Carrying in any polling place is off limits here in Arkansas. I've never heard of a federal law banning carry in polling places.

As said previously, Texas forbids carry at polling places the day of election.

One thing to consider is that polling places are governed by the Secretary of State, of each state, from my understanding. So I would not think there would be an federal laws covering an operation that is left up to each individual state.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

I also carried to the polls in November. It never even crossed my mind and I don't see any reference to it in Michigan State Firearms Laws.
