    THIS ought to be fun...

My parents, whom have not visited my wife and I in Virginia since we got married over five years ago, are coming down from Massachusetts for a long weekend in June. My stepfather has his MA LTC-A, and can legally carry concealed - but for some reason, does not (I intend to work on this while he's down here!). My mom has never shot a gun, and as far as I can tell is petrified of the things... so I think that some plinking in the backyard is in order with the .22s. I wonder what their reaction will be when I bring it up... though, I suppose for my wife's sake, I won't do it in her presence!

Chooie, their is still a few good guys up here in Mass. that carry.

I would bounce the idea off your stepfather first. See if he has an opinion on your moms reaction. You never know people do change.

I wouldn't do any thing that might upset Her and ruin the visit, it's been five years after all.

If you guys can sneak away or shoot when she's not there, I would go for it. Also definitely work on your stepfather about carrying.
While people are saying "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, ... and they will not escape. 1Th 5:3

Your mom will probably blame your wife for being a bad influence on you. After all, we know she raised you better than to play with guns!

Make the offer for the plinking time. You never know, mom might just surprise you. Either way, have a good visit with them.

That's funny, actually, since my wife is CONVINCED that my mom blames her for "converting" me.
