    Back at FLETC

Hello, some may recall that last year my police force sent me to FLETC for their Firearms Instructor's Training Program. I failed last year so they sent me back again this year. Well here I am in Glynnco now. Today we had the qualifying shoot, the one I failed last year. This year was different. I PASSED!!! I fired 278 out of a possible 300 and only needed 255 on the FLETC PPC course. Now I can't wait for graduation on June 12 but look forward to the next two weeks. A great weight seems to have been lifted off my shoulders.

FLETC offers great training. I've attended two different training classes at Glynco. The first time, I had to stay in the old dorms. The 2nd time, I was in the Taj Mahal. What a big difference.!

You'd be surprised at the number of trainees who wash out during firearms instruction.

    Congratulations, Black Knight.

Enjoy the next 2 weeks. After that....it's back to the real world.

    Congrats.

Now that the weight has been lifted from your shoulders, take the wax out of your ears and hear what they are telling you.

There are many lessons at FLETC. Some are what to do, others are a "what not to do". Be smart enough to read between the lines and have fun while you are there.
