Sig Sauer announced this morning that all of the classic guns will again be shipping with a second magazine. The classic guns are the core guns Sig started with, P220,P226,P229,P239. All of these guns PRODUCED after 6/3/09 will have the second magazine. If you buy a Sig, look for the production date sticker on the side of the plastic gun case, if its 6/3/09 or after, make sure it has the second mag.
Nuts! I just bought mine and it only came with one! I spent over $100 getting 3 more mags! Grrrr.

Yeah Sig mags are rather pricey.
Cheapest Sig mag for my P220 has been 40 dollars. I am not counting the Promags because those just did not function. Lesson learned.
Do you have a link to that announcement? Their website does not mention it as far as I could see.
You see the letter from their marketing department after you do your dealer login.
Well that leaves me out, I am not a dealer.

Mec-Gar manufactures a variety of OE SIG magazines, which are much less expensive and just as reliable as SIG stamped mags. You may want to check them out. :)

Rick, I checked out Top Gun, but they only had 2 in stock when I needed to order, so I went to CDNN. But Top Gun's prices were lower, by about $5 per mag, if i remember correctly.
I guess a lot of people complained or they saw a drop in sales?
My Sig dealer told me that the manufacturing co. in Italy has gotten it's act together. Hey Top Gun supply is not a site supporter. Maybe the Moderator's can contact them and see what's up. We go to them from this excellent site quite a lot.
