About LinkBacksI own a G23, but am looking at getting another poly-pistol in 9mm. Was thinking about a G19, but saw a SIG SAUER SP2022 9MM at Academy Sports for $499. Thats about $30 cheaper than the Glock. Can anyone make a comparison of the two?

I cast my vote in favor of a 9mm conversion barrel for your G23 AND the Sig.

I own both a Glock22 and a SP2022 in 40.s&m. I enjoy both. They are different. The SP has a longer trigger pull then other SIGs. It also has a bigger pistol grip and comes with different sizes you can change. The smallest is still big not good if you have small hands. The mags are costly and this model is no longer in production it is replaced with the sig250. Hope this helps.
Sigs and Glocks are both respected firearms.
I have had both in my 'grip'...I would prefer the Glock-19...definitely the Glock-19. OMOYMV
Either would be a great pick, this is simply a personal issue.

Buy the G19. Its a much better gun than that particular Sig.

+1 I have a 226 and absolutly love it but i am not a fan of Sigs poly pistols. I also have a G19 and it is byfar my go to gun in a SHTF situation. I love both but seeing as a 226 is not in question i would deffinatly go for the G19. IMOOriginally Posted by SIXTO

The G19 will also already fit ALL of your other gear as they are the same in all dimenssions except for the little hole on the business end. Go with the 19...the 2022 will also be harder to find gear and acessories for also.

I can't say I would ever lead anyone toward a Glock, or away from a Sig. But.....I agree that it's not a REAL Sig.If you can't afford a real SIG, go with the Glock!
