Cedar Point, Ohio Parking areas?

I'm certain that we've been down this road, but I can't find it with search. I'm likely heading to cedar point next week. I'm certain that we can't carry in the park and I probably wouldn't want to anyway. But likely finding a motel for me and my boy...might stay in the state for some kayaking.

With google, I did find that Cedar point declares no guns on the property at all...they claim to have posted it. In OH, does that make it illegal to have a weapon secured in the vehicle? Or just that cedar point won't like it?

Six Flags is another possibility....same question.

I go there several times a year, and havent noticed a sign for the parking lot yet. My gun stays in the car.

You're going to the right place then. My wife and I love coasters, and have been to several parks around the country. C.P. is among the best for coasters.

Just went last month, lock it to something in the car and don't worry about it.

Sorry off topic but Cedar Point is a great amusement park. I used to live in Northeast Ohio but haven't gone to Cedar Point in years. Geauga Lake was another fun water/amusement park to go to.

Question has been answered well enough for me, so as the OP, I don't mind going off topic one bit. I don't know how the mods feel about it, but...

I'm not a big fan of heights, or that falling feeling so the boy had better appreciate the heck out of my willingness to go on roller coasters with him. Too bad he's no longer short enough to have to stick with the tilt a whirl anymore...

I'm the only one in the family who goes on roller coasters - my son is to much of a fraidy cat and my wife get motion sick.

I miss going with some one on coasters.
