Need help spending money
So; I've got this huge problem. Getting an unexpected large insurance check next week. Wife already spent (has plans for) most of it. Something about paying off bills and other dumb stuff like that. I am sneeking out a couple of thousand (maybe a bit more if she's not looking) to spend on me. So many wants so little time. Got it narrowed down to one of the following. A gun safe, an AR-10 before the administration blocks sales, or a nice 1911. I know safe should come first but it's so darn hard to play with. I kind of like that DPMS Sportical. I had a 7.62 Nato Colt and have regreted selling it for a long time. Never had a 1911 but do like 45ACP. Head spinning need help.
All suggestions welcomed except for the part of spending it on you of course LOL.
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.

Hmm. Perhaps a .....Sig.
Partly joke there, but I would go with the 1911, but make it a SIG 1911.
I know not what this "overkill" means.
Honing the knives, Cleaning the longguns, Stocking up ammo.

Get yourself a 1911...many to choose from (I like Kimbers), look at them all.
Be sure to save some of that money for a 1k rounds of practice ammo and a couple boxes of SD ammo, too.
Stay armed...get a 1911 before the AR...stay safe!
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

I LOVE my new gun safe. I've reorganized it several times. It's just sooo cool!
If you already have several guns, you might want to reconsider getting a new safe.
Sometimes on a clear day, I can see into the future with this spotting scope.

I know someone in DC that would love to spend it for you...LOL
I'd recommend the gun safe...my brother and I got lucky and received safes for Christmas gifts several years back. It will give you peace of mind like nothing else....
Since you're leaning toward a new weapon (I can't blame you Barry isn't going to ban safes) I'd get the AR...If you can find one that's not plum crazy priced.
Like you my next weapon is either a 1911 or AR....I have a mini so I'm leaning toward a 45 at this time....but then again a lightweight 38 wheel gun would be nice also.
Good luck!
