    Well shoot Bruce, after rereading my first post to ya, I may have confused you.

    The 1913 is not original, the finish maybe, the coloring looks correct, but, the barrel most certainly isn't.

    I was never confused, I knew the barrel on the 1913 wasn't original.

    I believe so, it wasn't till the WWII era where they went to a all checkerd grip.

    I wasn't sure about that when they switched ..

    I actually prefer all checkered or non checkered i don't like the diamonds for some reason..

    Believe so Bud, you'd have to count the lines of checkering to be certain. The diamond-less full checkered walnut stocks start around January of 1924 with the "transitional models" (1919-1920 on Commercials).
