Sigma 9ve for Kahr CW9 a good trade?

Just though I would ask, I'm kinda new to handguns and don't want to be "suckered" (can't think of another word at the moment) in a trade, the CW9 is so much slimmer and lighter, but only holds like 8 rds (I think that''s right) and can I count on it in a time of need? My Sigma is clean and well maintained but....? well hoping you guys can help me out, good points/bad points on either to help. I haven't put many rounds through the Sigma (only like 100 with no problems) but the trigger has such a long pull, anyone shot the CW9? Is it the same way? Would money to boot be justified in the trade? Any advice is appreciated.

Good trade for the fellow getting the Kahr -if it's in good condition. Does it look like it's been cared for or treated poorly? Have the owner disassemble it so you can see the internals. The Kahr is worth more on the market and is much more easily concealed than your S&W. If you like your Sigma, don't trade. If you wonder at the quality of Kahr, don't. some have had issues but, as a whole, the guns are reputable and reliable.

I would personally jump on that trade in a heartbeat. I am so impressed with the CW9 that I bought a month or so ago that I sold my Glock. It has shot every time for approx 200 rds - no issues whatsoever. I is easy to take down and clean and conceals extremely well for me IWB. Good luck with your decision.

Around these parts, a new CW9 is about $419 and a new Sigma is $339... hope this helps...

Of the two which would you rely on more if you were going into a reserve program for the PD? Please consider all points... like capacity for example.

Of the two the Sigma is a better "duty" gun, the CW9 is a better a better CCW piece. Overall....I would just sell the sigma and buy a Glock it fills both needs.

I have a CW40 and love it, small light and easy to hide, in fact in the morning I am picking up a new Kahr PM45..even smaller!
