St Paul Area Alert - Stolen AR Pistol

Yesterday, my rental car was broken into while parked on Suburban Ave (adjacent to 94 and White Bear Ave). The GPS I'm not so concerned about, but they did get my trunk gun - an AR Pistol:

and some other support gear. SN: CM179363

A police report has already been filed and (I'm told) they will be checking with local pawn brokers, etc.

My car was parked in a business parking lot and the break in happened during business hours. I should be getting the feed from our security server tomorrow and will post whatever screen caps I can get. If any local folks could keep their eyes, open I would appreciate it.

At least it wasn't one of your SBRs.

That sucks, I hope they catch and torture the thief, and I hope the gun doesn't get screwed up in the process.

Theft can make one boil inside.

A stupid question perhaps, but why did you have to keep that in a 'rental car' trunk? Curious?

What a loss. Beautifull gun. Someone had to have known you keep that thing in the trunk or whitnessed you messing with it. (assuming no one elses car was broken into as well).

Thanks. I've put this up on a few other boards and have some .mil types spreading the word through their channels monitoring gun dealers and pawn shops, so hopefully something may pop up.

My feeling is that thats not going to a pawn shop. Somebody's going to want to show that off to the homies. That will stick out like a sore thumb amongst the usual Jennings, Cobras, and Hi Points. You'll get it back.

yea, sorry to say but I doubt that's showing up at a pawn shop. If the thug doesn't keep it for knocking off corner gas stations, it'll be sold privately to his meth dealing thug buddies.

Or shipped to Mexico if you ask Pelosy and Clinton.

One of the employees said that she saw a regular customer poking around another employee's motorcycle (that ended up having some stuff stolen out of the saddlebags). If the video comes back and we can identify the individual we'll be able to pass that on.

Really sorry to here this. I do hope that you get it back, or at least that it's covered by insurance (yours or the business').
