My wife and I spent a few hours after dinner tonight shooting my new airsoft 1911. I was quite impressed with how well she did. I have enclosed a few pics of our adventure. I made a trap out of a cardboard box (made things easier).
The actual target was mine, and teh hand made targets were her's. She can't wait to finish fill out the paperwork to apply for her permit. I bet her first pistol will be a 1911.
I also threw one in of my cat checking out the target.
The Indoor Air~Soft Extravaganza.
Oh...God!...There are going to be little tiny green balls all over the house.
Looks like fun!
That was a problem at first, as we were using a piece of styrofome as a back stop, but most were bouncing off. So I built a trap outa a cardboard box with the front 4 walls angled and a washcloth hanging twards the back to absorb most of the BB's energy so it wouldn't bounce back out. Was a really sinple idea and worked awsome.
I just enjoyed watching my wife have fun learning how to shoot, especialy since it was also a 1911 pattern.
I just bought a cheap airsoft type gun for my 10 year old son...I was impressed at how accurate the darn thing was. I had the cheapo platic BB guns as a kid and you were lucky to hit the wall. Honestly the best $17 I ever spent at Wally-World. We are using it to practice safe gun handling working up to his first day at the range.
