S&W J-frame,which yoke screw?
I have an original S&W lemon squeezer model 42 J-frame and the crane has developed a bit of forward to rear movement in and out of the frame. My gunsmith said a new yoke screw is what is needed to fix the problem,I checked e-gunparts and they have the yoke screw for my gun but do I need the regular or the over sized screw?
They are out stock on the over sized ones does anyone here know where I can find one if this is what I need? Will a standard sized yoke screw fix this problem? The forward to rear movement of the crane is very, very slight its barely noticeable but its there.

Hello. It's impossible to say w/o seeing the revolver, but I'd give the standard sized one a try. Is the cylinder actually binding when fired?
You might check with S&W and see if they happen to still have any of the oversized yoke screws or go over to: S&W Forum and post this question. Someone there might have an extra oversized yoke screw and sell it to you.
Best.

It didn't bind up last time I shot it but I didn't notice this until recently. I'll check at S&W forums and call didn't think of this befoe thanks.
