I'd be wary of craigslist. Just recently there was an incident of a prostitute being murdered after being contacted on craigslist. Apparently the killer had set up others too. I'd stick to gun related sites. JMHO.

Speaking of Craigslist, it is about the equal to eBay, you can't advertise gun items for sale, but some sex pervert can advertise on it.

Ive done dealings on craigslist before with good results. FTF is a must when dealing with this stuff though

Craig's List can be useful for some items...sold some kayaks in 45 minutes, true, I couldn't believe it. Two days later I sold a cargo trailer, that took two days.
I don't think I'd advertise guns there...OMO

Its all about liability, if you sell a gun too a scum bag through craiglist then he kills somebody, in todays sue happy society the dead persons family will sue craigslist for 774526 billon dollars.

Yeah, if you're a "massage therapist" who offers your services in cheap motels, you should be wary of Craigslist.
Although I have found it to be great for truck parts and non-gun sporting equipment.
