Pennsylvania Residency Requirement?

Does anyone know how long of a resident in PA you have to be to buy a pistol?

My roommate wants to buy his first handgun and he has lived in PA, with a PA drivers license for a month.

We both went to three local shops to price a H&K and a Sig for him.

But unfortunately we got three different stories about how long you must live in this state before you can buy a pistol.

There is no minimum residency requirement that I can find in PA code. He must have an official government ID that shows residency in PA such as a PA driver's license, a PA state ID card, or active duty military ID with permanent orders to PA.

There is none. You just have to have all the necessary identifiers to prove you are a resident.
