    629 loads????

Am trying to find some data on what a Smith 629 is ok with for warm factory loads. Do not want to kill the gun or anyone else. But it is an eye opener to go from 44-special to a 310 grain magnum round.

Common sense would say to stay within the data printed in a reloading manual.

Should be fine if Buffalo Bore stays within SAAMI pressure. If you buy from them, be ready to get out your wallet. They are very pricey.

Look up Elmer Keith on the internet. He was the Grandfather of the .44Mag and worked up some pretty stout loadings for it. Most of his stuff involved hard cast 240gr. bullets and either 2400 or 4221 powder.
