Our family will be traveling to North Carolina in the fall. We will be renting a house for a week in the Outer Banks area. My question is this, would it be legal for me to have my handgun in the rental house for personal protection? I'm not interested in having CCW capability, just possession in the house only. Any NC residents or legal guru's have the answer? Thanks in advance...
Well, you wouldn't be breaking any laws...concealed is concealed...as far as any rental agreement.
What are they going to do after the robbery attempt, throw you out?
If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't ask or tell, but my Kimber would be going on vacation with me.:yup:
Inside the residence the firearm won't be a problem, since its private property. Outside you need to be careful. Parts of the Outer Banks are Federal Parks so until next year are off limits for loaded firearms.
Thanks for the advice, all. As I stated in the original post, I'm only interested in securing the home. I'll check the rental agreement. Thanks again.
