    Ed Brown pistol sights

A month ago, I finally purchased the Kobra Carry I'd been drooling over for so long. Love the pistol. Looks great, shoots nice, carrys well. The one problem I have is the rear sight.

EB gives each shooter the opportunity to sight in the pistol then set the rear sight for themselves and that's fine. Mine seemed to shoot a bit left, and by the time I got hits in the middle of the target, the rear sight was definitely right of center. Maybe I'm being overly anal about this, but it seems WAY right and it's kind of disconcerting that a $2K pistol should have to have the rear sight this far over. It's irritating for a guy who'd like things to be pretty well alinged. It shoots center though. At least it did for the last two groups I shot.

Anyone else had similar experiences with EB carry pistols, either Executive or Kobra with the rear sight being way(my opinion) off center compared to the slide?

perhaps contact EB, and maybe they can give you some suggestions. I like the Bobbed grip on the cobra carry . looks like it will conceal much better than a standard grip.

Hi, my experience was similar. However, I found out, thankfully before I used the lock-tite, that my grip was causing the problem. We all know, pressure fore and aft for the proper grip. Subconsciously, I would over compensate for the bobtail, it felt good... but something was missing, so I would tighten my fingers causing the gun to shoot left.

Good luck, I hope this helps in some small way.

How about a pic of how far the Sight is over ..

Also could it be your grip?

Two of you keyed in in the grip. That's something to consider, which I admit, I hadn't. Not being a great pistol shot, it could definitely be my grip. I did my sighting in from a rest, and tried to keep the thing pointed at the bull right thru trigger break. I'll discuss grip with local pistol experts. Might even see if I can get them to shoot it to verify.

Here's the way the sights look now. ::: man, look at all the lint from the cleaning patches! :::: Hopefully the file's not too big.
