Found a place in Houston that does this and just had to have it. I had the work done to my Colt Defender, one of my Gander Mountain Kimber Ultras, and my wife's Kimber Ultra II LG. A bad guy will never have time to see it. I took pictures from the side and from the end of the barrel. The work was on the end of the barrel. What do you think???

It is more expensive than it is worth. $75 per barrel or $200 for three plus the return shipping. I disassembled the firearms, sent the barrels and had them back a week later. They do very good work. IF anyone wants their contact info, just send me an e-mail.

It looks neat, but I wonder if it would cause any liability problems in a civil case if you were to have to use it. Most advice I've seen is to keep your carry weapon mostly stock or else the BG's lawyer will make it look like you were a vigilante just waiting to shoot someone.
Very nice, it is amazing how much bigger a 45 looks from that end.
Those are beautiful weapons, I really like the finish on both pieces.
My shop is stuck in the 80's, I'm going to have to get into the newer finishes; on my own guns I guess, all the old farts around here just want the old stand by blue or parkerizing.

That kind of stuff is more trouble than it's worth, IMO. There are modifications that can be made that are defensible in court. I don't see this as one of them.

I misspoke in my original post. I should have said that the bad guy will never see this... period. These firearms are ones that I will take to the range or out to the farm land to shoot. The rest of the time, they are in a display case at the house.
I have 15 hand guns and my wife has 7. I am 51 years old and have been collecting hand guns for quite some time now.
My everyday carry is a Smith and Wesson 360pd .357 mag with over the cylinder laser. Occasionally, I carry a Ruger SP101 .327 federal mag or a SP101 .357 mag. My backup gun is a Ruger LCP .380. My wife's carry gun is a Smith and Wesson 360 .38 spec and her backup gun is also a Ruger LCP .380. She didn't like my 360pd with .357 rounds but did like shooting it with .38 rounds. That's why she didn't pay the extra money for the 360pd.
As I stated. These are conversation pieces. If I want to carry this type of firearm, I have a brand new never fired Gander Mountain Kimber Ultra Carry II just like the one in the pictures with the rosewood laser grips. I also have a Springfield EMP .40 new in the box. I have two other full size 5" 1911's, one is a Springfield Trophy Match and the other is a Rock Island RA1... both purchased from members here on this forum.

I forgot to mention that her 360 has CT PINK laser grips. I have said this before on this forum but it is her words. She says that she is not a "Pink" person. However, she loves pink on her guns so that IF she has to shoot someone, and he lives, word will get around the jail that he was shot by a female with a pink gun and he will be Bubba's date within 24 hours.Quote:
