Unless you're planning on swat tatics, I can't see the need for a laser on any pistol. Some may argue the 'impact' on the BG when he sees a laser on his chest, but in a WalMart parking lot scenario I think I would have already let the lead fly before the BG saw and recognized the red dot.
My wife has a laser on a S&W 637 that she has never used (I'm thinking of selling it...)...she now has moved to her Glock-26.
Would I ever put a lazer on the Glock? No!
I view lasers as a training tool only. OMOYMV

Here's another one to consider: LaserLyte : Rear Sight Laser RL-1
I don't know anyone who has this - several that want it but no one's made the purchase yet.
For God, Family and Country!
Have they designed a laser for knives yet?![]()

Why no laser on a Glock? Training tool is why I was considering it.

Lasers are functionally no different than the red dot sights the military is putting on rifles or competitors in almost all "open" handgun sports are using. They let you acquire a target very quickly, and are great training tools. Their only downsides are batteries (obviously), the red lasers wash out in bright light, the green ones look like light sabers at night, and for those opponents who don't notice the noise and flash, they can see where you are shooting from. But in a defensive situation, they have to be threatening you, so they know where you are at, negating that argument.
