I like the fact that even if you get rid of a firearm the data is available. I usually use the Current Collection view, but occasionally I want to know something about a gun I no longer have and the View All makes that easy.

I use KeePass which is an encrypted database. I use it for all my important data, financial records, passwords etc. It allows me to backup easily with one file and my wife has full access as well.
But I have found it very convenient for all inventory type data as well.
With one password I have access o all my passwords.
Best of all it is free.
I mentioned in an earlier post here that I have my gun inventory on Excel. Is there a way that I can password protect that "gun inventory folder" to keep others from opening it up?
Helpful hints on pushing back and strengthening the 2A:
I have looked at some of the stand alone programs, but think that I would rather stick to an Excel, Acess or a Google Docs formats. Does aanyone have a template that I can borrow or have?
I started a database using FileMaker Pro. I built in a lot of options but I'm rethinking this as its not free.
So now I'm thinking about rebuilding it in open office via database. Open office is free and can be run off of my thumb drive which goes everywhere with me. Just wasn't happy with what is out there. And gunsafe is no longer downloadable. If someone has that program file I'd love to take a look at it!!!
