Hi everyone iam trying to find a good pistol-smith in central michigan.
Hopefully within an hour or so of Clare, Mi. I would like to just bring my pistols in to them.
If it helps, I need the following done:
1: extended mag-well installed on my new Kimber Eclipse (hopefully while i wait or can pick up after a short shopping trip)
2: my wife wants her PM9 slide powder-coated (can be mailed)
Any good advice is appreciated
Kimber Eclipse Target 2
Glock 22 (duty weapon)
Glock 19 (3rd Gen)
Glock 42 (wife's edc)

Not sure I can help you, but if you're from Clare, you may know my wife! That's where she grew up.
Any/every good pistolsmith, Central Michigan or not, will have a backlog of work. Quality installation of a mag-well sometimes requires fitting & blending, so it's tough to drop & pick-up like at a One Hour Photo shop. Kimber has a nice Custom Shop but that'll require shipping (yep, P.I.T.A.). Have you bought your mag-well yet? Smith & Alexander has various drop-in 1911 models that require little-to-no 'smithing. Send your PM9 slide to CCR Firearm Refinishing (Greeneville, Tn.). They're honest, they're reasonably priced & they do fine work. Uhhh gee, I didn't exactly answer your question. Just food for thought.
