About LinkBacksI think custom 1911s from Wilson, Ed Brown, etc are great reliable guns...but expensive. I'd vote for Kimbers and Springfields because they put out a lot of good 1911s for the money you would spend on one.

My Colt Mark IV / Series 70 Government Model is definitely my favorite 1911. Rock solid reliability. Big thumbs up.
The next one (when I get the money) will be the Colt Gunsite Pistol.
