Question which one would you get ?

a limited edition laminated stock Ruger 10/22 (I like laminated stocks..they have more personality than composites) or a beautiful Smith & Wesson model 64 with a 3 inch pipe ?

With fun and practicality in mind, I'd go for the 10/22. Cheap plinker, it would be great for squirrels or prarie dogs, with some Stingers on board, and if this is the spiral-fluted HB version, the value won't decrease.

The 64 is a definite classic. If you don't have a wheelie in the safe, it's a good choice.

The 10/22 is about the best plinker around, everyone should have one!

If you're a wheel gun fan, an old S&W is a great addition.

    Heck, get both!

I'd get the S&W. It's classic -- a 10/22 is a great rifle but it's also a great rifle that one can pick up pretty much anytime (I know you said this one's "limited" but Ruger tends to run big volume of limited).
    Just my 2 cents...

the Ruger is out of stock so they will call my dealer when they get more in..might be a month or so

so the Smith is on it's way and I can still get the 10/22 later

S&W wheelguns with 3" barrels are hot sellers on the Smith forum right now. If you don't like it (and aren't upside down on your investment), you can move it there.
    Enjoy,

I had to vote SW64. I've got a couple of 10/22's and they are great plinkers. There is also available for purchase every imaginable accessory (and a few I never imagined) for them. I'd have a hard time passing on the Smith, though, so that's where my vote went.
