I am looking into getting a new Range gun, as in not used for carry.
So far my two options seem to be the Glock 37 or the Taurus PT 1911.
Anyone has any experiences with any of these guns?
What whould you prefer and why? Cost vs quality?

It's a tough call. I'm a fan of Glocks and 1911's. I voted Glock only because I don't know much about Taurus.
If it wasn't for the Glock being .45GAP I'd say Glock, but as it's a .45GAP...I'd go Taurus.
Why the GAP?
Pending on what the Taurus is going for, I think the Glock wins in both cost and quality.Quote:

I like GLOCK's also and I agree - .45GAP is a non-starter. Unless you like spending money like crazy, it is not affordable to shoot often. If you can't shoot it often, why bother?
Stick with the .45.....ACP, that is.
Out of the two in the poll, I voted on the PT1911. I've actually wanted one for a while now. 'Range gun' actually isn't in my vocabulary. Any pistol I own gets carried.
I voted Taurus, because that's what I carry. Feels better in my hands.
Any other Glock other than a '37'...so I guess it's the 1911.
