Sorry, I have to ask- Glock 17

Sorry, this is a silly question but here in California we have weird laws like 10 rounds magazine limits. Now, if I move to any other state I can use a Glock 17 17/19 rounds magazine..

But is all I have to do? Change magazine or is this actually two different guns? So I can bring a Glock 17 with a 10 round magazine, buy a 17 round magazine and be on my way without any further problems?

Is this the exact same gun, just with a different magazine?

    Version 1

    Version 2

    Thanks.

Merely different magazines. A Glock 17 is the same everywhere. That is also the Generation Four, "RTF", although the "Version 2" also has night sights.

Let me know if you have hard times finding the ten round magazines for your G17. If you move from Cali, I think you'll have less "problems" all together. I keep quite a few ten-rounders for my G17 so I can shoot in Limited division as well as Production division for USPSA. Limited division is limited to ten round capacity or less. Production lets me use the 17/19 round magazines.
