These usually measure 1 1/2" to fit inside the PVC. Make sure you test fit your wood inside the pvc for fit before purchase. Most other 1x2 is to wide to fit.

    I make stands using 1" pvc, costs around $5 per stand, the cuts don't need to be perfect as long as the lengths are within a half inch of each other.
