Devone6, thank you for the suggestion of the Nikon scope.
You are welcome BikerRN. I got my 375H&H mostly for Elk hunting, and occasional Bear hunting, so I wanted a traditional scope, and Nikon was what Remington recommended.

However, most dangerous game hunting guides discourage using a traditional scope for many reasons, trying to locate a charging buffalo, elephant, etc in the scope just being one, an important one though. Due to this, the shorter range, and terrian you would be in, I think an EO Tech sight would be an excellent choice.

Like you said, Elk aren't really that dangerous, and I'm sure some would debate, niether are bear in my opinion, especially compared to buffalo, so I went with the Nikon, I do use see through mounts though so to close for comfort or quick shots can be done.

Here is a picture of my Remington 700 375H&H Mag, click on it to enlarge:

Just for comparison, as some may view this thread not familiar with the 375H&H, here are a couple rounds to compare it to:
    223/5.56, 30-30Win, 7mm Rem Mag, 300WSM, 375 H&H Mag375H&H 005.jpg

Someday I hope to go on a similar trip, I have no doubt it will be a wonderful experience for you!!

    Can't argue that.

Yep... he mentions in there "a 243", so I took it that's the caliber he was shooting.

The video info says he was using a .375. His dad says "see, and you wanted to use the .243".

Still a pathetic video and I've no idea why he was told to shoot him in the neck. Those old bulls have necks bigger than a 55 gallon drum, probably solid muscle.
