Rural-Rural.
Grew up on the South side of Lake Okeechobee/ been here all my life, now on the north side.

Used to live in a semi-rural area for about 15 years; I built the house with the intention of it being a SHTF setup because we were outside the city limits.
Unfortunately, Sweetie Pie threw a monkey wrench into the situation and now we are city slickers once again.....

I grew up in very rural from 0-21 and now I'd say say my current residence is definitely metropolitan.
Hoping to be outta here come March, and back to the forest.
Been here for 2 years and I'm starting to get very annoyed with it.
I thoroughly disapprove of duels.
If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand
and lead him to a quiet place and kill him.

Reading the three government definitions gave me a headache. Not only were there three "main" definitions, there were another 29 or so added "minor" definitions. No wonder our government is so gridlocked.
Checking out some of the sources, it looks like I'm in an urban/metropolitan area (even though there are woods and fields out the back door). My childhood home is now firmly urban/metropolitan but it was more likely rural while growing up.
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

Rural-rural for me. Apple orchards in Wenatchee Washington amd farmland in Arkansas now!!
We will be much better off when we learn to deal with things as they really are, instead of how we wish them to be!
I grew up in the SF Bay area and, after 8 years in the Navy, serve a different Master in the Phoenix 'burbs. So metro-metro.
However, I spent plenty of rural time as a kid and would love to be in the middle of nowhere.

Metro-Metro for me since I live 4 houses away from the house AI grew up in. In a couple months I'll be moving back into the first one. So it will then be Metro-Metro-Metro.

First 17 years of my life on military bases here and abroad. Last 28 years have been mostly rural. I am most comfortable deep in the woods and least comfortable in a crowded city street.
Live in the "big town" now........ bout 20k...... but grew up in a town of about 2500..........

I chose R&R, but between where I grew up and where I live now. I've lived in Metro D.C, Metro Boston and Metro Richmond.
Now we live among fields of corn, cows, and hay. With views of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. Or as I like to call it, heaven.

I grew up in a relatively rural area of the panhandle of Florida. After 4 years of Military (2 in Europe/2 in Ky) I spent the 10+ years working in several international areas and then the last 15 years in DFW and Tampa.
