Rural and more rural, I could use my back deck as a deer stand. I grew up in a small village and when I got married settled in the sticks.

There's not enough choices! My dad was an Air Force pilot...we moved every 10 months to 3 years until I was 18. Then finally ended up in DC (Don't all Colonel's end up at the Pentagon?) Now I live in a resort that I'm guessing is considered rural...even though we are just 20 min from Utah's only metro area.

M&M. Due to circumstances. We plan on getting back out to rural at the first opportunity.

    Had to pass.

Rural (true rural and rural-ish small towns):
    0-19
    25-31
    60+

    Metro:
    20-25
    32-60

Not counting international and military (there I'm just reporting absentee voting address)

I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.

I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.

Rural, small town; then various Military bases with 6mo metropolitan, now small town.
I don't believe it fits the choices in the pole.

I live in the Charlotte NC.metropolitan area , about 20 drive minuets
    from down town.
Population in the Metro area, about 1.7 million
In 2008, Charlotte was chosen the "Best Place to Live in America" by relocate-America.com

Book: "Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps."

Grew up in the suburbs of a fairly small city of 100k. Now I live in a town of about 1500. We do have 1 traffic light!

The definition you linked to seems to indicate I lived in an urban area, despite the fact there were no houses for miles past ours (last house in a small town near an urban area). I could (and did) walk to the trout stream, go to a nearby field to shoot .22s and non-domestic critters showed up in our back yard. So I voted rural/metro.

Grew up in Chicago-doesn't get much more metropolitan than that. I couldn't wait to get out of there. Left at 18.

Now I live in a very small town in the Fla. panhandle and I love it. If I had the money I'd buy 1000 acres of undeveloped land and live right in the middle of it.

Grew up in Detroit...is that Metro enough? Now it's a two-mag town.

I agree I think many of us in the south have ties to rural areas... In my case I would work on farms from time to time when I was young.
