A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

The only one I have significant experience with is the p239 and I loved it. I also have fired a P226 and liked it. But I chose the P239

I voted for the P220. It's my very favorite handgun, not just favorite Sig.

I have a Sig 239 sas great for CCW. Although it only has a 7 round mag 40 cal modal, the weight is great and is very accurate.
So with the accuracy the way it is, who needs more than 7 round capacity especially when you can carry two extra mags.

I own shoot and sell Sig. I prefer a sig P229 9mm mainly because I like shooting it. I also like the highly underrated Sig P250 for versatility and ease of maintenance. I would keep and shoot P220, a fine .45 except that prefer a 1911Kimber for any pistol chambered in .45ACP.
All of what I shoot is made in The USA.

I had to vote for SIG P229 (Stainless Elite) because I happen to have it hanging under my left shoulder in a shoulder rig.... Just got off duty. Might change my mind when I get and start shooting my P226 Elite Dark.

I went with this Sig P-226 SCT. It ships with 4, 20 round factory magazines. I promptly ordered another 4 from Midway. That's a total of 160 rounds of firepower without having to handle a cartridge. Bill T.

Personally, I would pick the P226 or P229. Both are incredible guns and both will fit your specs.

Well, if we aren't talking everyday carry, I would look for the biggest and heaviest one out there. I don't know if they are still in production but an all stainless P226 would be my choice. Nice long barrel for maximum ballistic performance. Nice long sight radius for more precise aiming. The additional weight of the steel frame over the alloy frame to help soak up the recoil.
