    Firearms through the mail

It was explained to me from a representative at Glock that it is illegal to send a gun "person to person" through the mail without using a FFL dealer but if you are sending a gun from "person to manufacturer" or vice versa that it is legal and does not need to involve a FFL dealer.

Does anyone know if this is this correct?

Yes, if you send it back to the manufacturer for warranty repair and the same gun gets sent directly back to you it is legal. You would have to use FedEx or UPS though, it can't go through USPS. Look up the Gun Control Act of 1968, this is where it is outlined.
