Happended at one here in NC..... I hope that he also gets the help he needs. However, he has a long road ahead.
Very Sad event...I Hope that he'll end up being OK but, bad place to catch a bullet at point blank range.
He has probably succeeded in given himself a lingering fate a whole lot worse than a quick and painless death.
I know my local rental range has had at leat one suicide and one murder on the firing line.
My sympathies go to this guy’s family and to the owners of the range.
However as for him, I’m content in my belief that when one commits suicide they don't go to the happy place ... intruding on the lives and livelihood of other people for such a selfish act just doesn’t get sympathy from me.
If one must off themselves they should have the decency to do so in such a way that someone else isn’t forced to clean up the mess.
sorry if that sounds cold.
I also believe that if a person honestly feels that they have no reason to live...then that person should volunteer their services and go someplace/anyplace...and do something/anything GOOD/POSITIVE for Humanity & Mankind.
Like Magic...Instantly ~ a person is then given a real, valid, and genuine, reason to stay alive. :yup:
Sorry this reply is so late but I've had a 36 hr EMS shift! Yes, it was at Jim's in Fayetteville, NC and today's paper said the soldier died of his wound last night. Still no known reason for his actions. Life today is tough enough but for military it is worse due to the small percentage of vocal folks who get all the press. Another reason to let it be known we support our troops! And yes, Guns Plus in Spring Lake now has an pretty nice indoor range.
