I thought of you all day today when I was at the zoo.
I have a 9mm handgun, nothing wrong with 9's. I also have a G22 and a G27. Here lately I have been able to buy .40 ammo in my local WW pretty much at will. 9mm not so easily found.
Also most of the LEO's around here are and have been carrying .40 pistols (mostly Glocks) for quite a while.![]()

G19 or G30

Springfield XD9 4" or 5" for fun and a XD9sc 3" for ccw...
Seriously though, all the Glocks cost the same but 9mm ammo is the cheapest. There was just a thread on here for 1,000 rounds for $200 shipped. If you haven't held a Glock make sure you do, and hold other brands (S&W, Springfield, etc) before you make a decission.
My vote is for either G23 or G21SF

Just the name says it all (GLOCK) its like sweetness rolling off the tongue! There is not a bad glock so it all comes down to preference of calibers, I have the Glock 27 and the 22 love them both and periodically hunt deer with my Glock 22 at anything closer than 70 yards (has not failed one shot stop yet).

well said, most Glocks are the same size and shape, +/- a few oz or mm hear and there, I have a G 22, 27, 30 and all my holsters fit all.
You really have to decide what cal fits your needs and then decide to get a standard, subcompact or onr of the new ultraslims.
Price wise they all can be had for around $500-$600, give Gunsamerica a look befor you go to the gun store.
stay away from 1st and 2nd generation Glock, yah you can get a good deal, but new 3rd gen Glocks are not expensive, The 4th gen are out, but I havent seen anything that excites me about them

There is no such thing as a glock worth money.
I wouldn't even take one for free (I was afraid the 1911's in the safe would beat it up)
But if someone were to pay you to take ownership of one, I would agree with the 9mm folks....
If you gotta have a glock, make sure you can carry plenty of ammo with it...

My favorite glock is the 17.Take glock 26,use a glock 17 magazine with an extension and it's the same size as glock 19. I'll take my glock 17 or glock 34
over any 40s&w.I do like 45 acp in 1911 platform and s&w99 as this set up has
has the best trigger on any handgun I've ever shot hands down !I tried the Mp
9mm just couldn't warm up to it even at the sale price. So it's Glock 17,34,26 in that order ,with the 19 as not needed. When it comes to 45acp I'll take my Springfield Hi -Cap 13+1 not bad for old design. My other winner in 45acp is s&w99
It's cousin out sold it but the smith you get the lifetime warranty.
