I am thinking about getting my Beretta 96d refinished with "gun kote" through the guy at this site About Us
It looks like he does a decent job, and this Beretta is a former service weapon that I'd like to have refinished (like the 92FS in the pic), add new grips, and all new springs. $225 plus shipping, and I'll buy the grips. I only paid $200 for the gun itself.
Seems like he does good work at a reasonable price. I say go for it, nothing like making a gun your own and you will increase the value of the gun by making it look like new.
Several outfits refinish firearms. I've used: Robar Premium Finishing & Firearms Home Page with success. You might do a google search of such companies.
Refinishing devalues guns.
Painting them devalues them even more. Gun Kote is paint.
only if you collect or intend on selling
