They sell right around 500 around here, the best street price is 480 that I've seen.
Look into joining the GSSF. You will have to jump through some hoops to get your gun, but it will save you about a hundred bucks.

GSSF? I'm new to the Glock world. What is it, what hoops, how does it save that much (asscociated costs?)?

GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation. Members get a deal on GLOCKs--essentially the military/LEO price, which is $398 or so on the fixed sight small frames. I believe you have to go through specified dealers, but I'm not sure.

Around here, the going rate for a fixed sight G23 is $459 plus tax.

Checked into the GSSF, they seem to have made some recent changes to the certificates. And since there is no dealer on the list within a couple hundred miles, not sure it would save me money in my situation. It seems to be a very good group to join though, especially if you are close to a dealer on the list. Thanks for recommending this program, and suggestions on fair/going for prices. Asking around here is $599.

military/LEO price, which is $398 with normal sights. night sights add some. all other pay a higher price. shop around on the net, you can find some good used one at a fair price. nothing wrong with buying a used glock.

Check other Glock-specific sites; they are going from $425 to $450 for NIB or LNIB.

NIB should not cost more than $500 on the high end, much lower if you shop around. I found this one in 3 minutes, take a look

In my area they go for about $525 NIB and about $450 used with standard sights. I got my last one from a good friend for $350 NIB. He bought it and kept it a year and never fired it. He sold it to me and bought a new one a month later. The point is check with friends that you trust there could be some good deals out there. Good luck.

Most folks don't shoot a Glock enough to bother it. Check out used ones too. Let someone else buy the ammo to break it in. As long as all the parts are there, they'll work.

Glocks are great guns and the .23 is my nightstand gun.
I have seen the 17 RTF with the odd serations new for $429.00, If I had it I would own one!!!!

A little over $500 here in south Ga.
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
    1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man
