I've been having fun with mine since I picked one up 2 weeks ago. So far the ammo I've had trouble with has only been CCI mini-mags, it seems to like the cheap 550 federal packs the best.

Oh yeah, if you find a place that has magazines for sale, let me know please. I'm having a heckuva time finding them from a well known, trusted online shop.

Love, love, love, love, love, love mine. Shoots cheap ammo all day long. I've not had a SINGLE failure with it. Not one. I've shot well over 2 (maybe 2 1/2) boxes of bulk ammo through it (well over 1400 rounds). I put a cheapie Tru Glo red dot optic on it ($25 bucks on sale at Fleet Farm). Awesome. Can hit a soda can as far as I can see it.

I own one, and I will be taking it to the gun show in Sunday, if I can get $425.00 no tax needed either, it will be gone.

It's more of a novelty gun, I like placing 1 good shot far more than 24 misses and 1 hit.

I have had a couple of out of battery fires, in all fairness it was the first day I had shot the gun, I had not cleaned it and it was very very cold out. After I cleaned the gun and magazine, it was much better.

My biggest complaint is I don't like the sights on my guns 2" above the bore, it makes for a hard time shooting from up close to 75 yards.

But, if you want one, why not, it may just be what trips your trigger.

I like mine as it is the same platform as my AR as far as controls and sights.

I've bought several items from G&R Tactical online and visited his shop last weekend to pick up a 25-round M&P 15-22 magazine.

His website search engine is quirky so here is the link to the mag: S&W M&P 15-22 25rd Magazine

He is sometimes slow to answer email, but is extremely knowledgeable and a very talented smith so that makes up for any drawbacks. I will likely buy the S&W Bodyguard 380 that I covet from him, even thought I will have to pay sales tax.

Hmmm. I just paid $430 for a brand new S&W M&P 15-22 (Threaded Barrel) (811033). The threaded barrel version usually commands around a $90 premium. I wonder if your asking price will be successful. Let us know.

Buyer offered $400, I said $425 no sales tax. He handed be $425, and he got the gun and the box.

I paid $350 for it at Cabela's with a discount card mailed to me, so you could say I was happy.

Took the cash a bought a new Marlin 983SS 22 Mag tube feed stainless on laminate stock, this more suits my shooting style.

I put a red-dot on mine. It's fun to shoot and my sons can shoot all day for very little money.

My dog and I like mine, it matches her coat.
The first couple hundred rounds I had a few jams. After a good cleaning it hasn't jammed since.
I got my extra mags direct from S&W.

I have plans to get one soon. I'll use it as a training gun and a nice plinker. Besides, I don't own a .22lr and everyone should have one of some sort.

I had mine for about 100 shots and had an out of battery discharge, called S+W they sent pre paid mail sticker and I sent the gun back. It was returned 2 weeks later with updated springs, "brought to current specs" and an updated new magazine. I have since fired apx 200 rounds through it without any issues. I am happy with my purchase now that the problem has been corrected.
