Insurance Suggestion for Firearms in your house.

I just recently talked to my Insurance agent about the guns that I have in my house. I have purchased a (none fire) safe but wanted to know what I was covered for on my insurance policy. The standard policy only covers $2500 but for $9 extra per year I bumped that up to $5000 (which is as high as they go for that cheap). He also suggested that the NRA offers members a special policy that hopefully someone will know more about.

Just a suggestion that normally isn't thought about until it is too late.

I believe that it is 2000 for just being a member. Not sure about purchasing more though, as that is more than my guns are worth.

Do they cover ammunition losses as well? Say a few hundred shotgun rounds and roughly the same number of skeet?

Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

That is interesting. Do they require picture proof?

He has never asked but what they would cost to replace is under the $5000 but above the $2500.
