    What was your best deal?

What was your best deal you ever got on a firearm? Mine was on a S&W M10 HB, in the box, I got from a guy I worked with for $125 back in 1987 and I still have it.

I got my 1st Colt 1911 in April 1971 as a wedding present from my new wife! Last gun she ever bought for me but I still have it. Gvmt series 70 - been rebuilt / customized a few times but is still a carry gun. Only cost me 39 years of marriage - no up front cash out lay!

Ruger Police Service Six .357 Magnum for $125 in 1997. Only had 3 rounds fired from it. Got the handgun (still looks brand new), leather OWB holster, and 50 rounds of Winchester Round Nose Lead Ball thrown in the deal.

I wouldn't say it is the best deal out there but it was the best deal I ever got on any firearm.

A lightly used Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge riot shotgun made in 1960 for $265.

    Where do I start???????????

OK, this one comes to mind first.

An ex-police Colt Cobra snubby (alloy version of the Detective Special). Looks like it was carried a little, and hardly ever fired. The only real mark on it is where some "Rocket Scientist" etched BCP (Brandon (Manitoba) City Police) on the right side plate.

Cost me the princely sum of $60.

Best one I have so far is a Charter Bulldog .44 with a leather holster and 50 rounds of ammo for $200 out the door. It shoots really good.
