    need some trade advice

I bought a mint condition (not a scratch on it) Mossberg 500 12ga with a beautiful dark wood stock and forend, 28" vented barrel it's practically brand new. Paid $94 for it from a guy at work(great deal). Well someone offered me a Taurus model 66 .357 mag with a 6in barrel. He wants the Mossberg and $100 for the trade. What do you guys think? I have never owned a Taurus and have read both good and bad things. Would you make the trade or not?
Vermont does not issue Permit/Licenses to Carry a Concealed firearm. Vermont allows anyone
who can legally own a firearm to carry it concealed without a permit of any kind.

Well considering the Taurus retails new for about $550 and you paid $94 for the shotgun, assuming the Taurus is in close to new condition it doesn't sound like a ripoff to me. The Taurus revolvers are mostly S&W copies, so if you like those you'll probably like the Taurus. Whether it's actually worth it though is your call alone.

In other words, you can get the $550 taurus for $194. Sounds like a good deal to me, if you actually want a .357.

I'd keep the mossberg as I am not a fan of taurus products no matter what spin put on them.I have been victimized by that brand and promised to advertise
my issues with said brand at every opportunity.

Depends upon what you have, and want. If you are wanting a revolver and don't need the Mossberg, then I'ld go for it. With me, it would probably be the other way around, because I have my share of revolvers.

I'm not a fan of Taurus either. I would keep the Mossberg. A 12 ga. pump is a very versitile gun. It can do different jobs with different barrels and different shells. Personally I believe he should be paying you $200 to take the Taurus off his hands.
