Mark Wahlberg behind the scope of his rifle the movie Shooter. Being a sniper, this movie actually sent shivers down my spine, remembering the terminology and everything. Just hiding in plain sight, wearing a ghillie suit, and taking difficult, well aimed shots from distance. Hmmm...

    (I'm sick, I know)

It's a tie between The good, the bad, and the ugly's final showdown with Clint, Angel eye's and Duco. I just love that scene, and the music just sends chills down the spine.

The other is the final battle in Outlaw Josey Whales

Yeah man, this scene gets my vote too.

I don't know about you guys, but when it comes to movies, I favor credibility above all else. At the very least, make it believable. The whole movie (Unforgiven) was extremely credible and realistic, IMHO.

Maybe not a true "gunfight" scene but close. Didn't see it posted but my favorite is the one in "Heartbreak Ridge" where Clint Eastwood's character fires above his squad of Marines and they are yelling, what the **** WAS that? Then he says the line......

I'm going with the gun fight between Sgt. Horvath and the Nazi soldier near the end of Saving Private Ryan.

I don't know why I find it funny, must be Tom Seizmore's job as a wounded American still fighting when he runs out of bullets.

What's the shotgun the guy who yells "freeze" at 1:05 has?

Also, don't forget it's cheaper and lighter to just carry new guns that more mags/ammo :)

I agree though, it's an unreal, but sweet scene.

On TV, the "Miami Vice" series had one gem: the hit man posing as limo driver, who is confronted by the bodyguard after the hit. His draw against "the drop" is now a classic. They hired a high-level IPSC shooter for that part, Jim Zubiena, as I recall, though my spelling may be off.

HEAT and The Way of the Gun are good, filled with memorable scenes.

The shootout scene in the made-for-TV movie about the FBI shootout in South Florida, while not historically/technically accurate, was done quite realistically with the information available at the time, and the slant that Hollywood puts on everything. (More information about the shootout became publicly available long after the movie had been released.)

Except for the editing mistake that had Kevin Costner firing too many shots in a row from one sixgun, Open Range was quite good.

I have not yet seen Collateral.

That's my overall favorite as well. Second, I would say the club scene, he seems to do everything right in there.

Yep, Jim Zubiena, 1984 & 1988 SWPL champion (Southwest Pistol League).

In the Line of Duty: The F.B.I. Murders. Actually it was historically/technically correct, the FBI used it in training, until they made their own training film, in which the gunfight scene is almost identical (I believe it was Mas Ayoob that stated this in one of his American Handgunner articles).
